Emobdying 60s glam for @haircutsofny

Renowned NYC hairstylist Amerah, who primarily works out of Paul Labrecque Salon, was looking for a way to tell her clients stories and build a community-driven brand across digital platforms.

After competitive analysis, exploratory sessions, and several workshops, it became clear that Amerah is inspired by 60s glam and wanted her brand to stand out in a world where muted colors, millennial pastels, and minimal type faces reign supreme.

Amerah has the unique skill of getting her clients out of their comfort zone — all the while matching the perfect cut and color for their personal style and daily life. The goal was to create a brand identity that would reflect Amerah's vibrant skillset, clients, and hair transformations. So we explored how the vibrant typography and imagery from the 60s could inspire her branding.
